I’m Dr. Greg Martinez. I’ve been a vet in Gilroy, CA, for 30 years. And it really was my three dogs (Carly, Archie and Teddy) that changed the way I not only feed my own dogs but how I treat the dogs (and cats) that come to my animal hospital.
The feeding secrets you’ll find in my book Dr. Greg’s Dog Dish Diet are EASY . . . CONVENIENT . . . EFFECTIVE . . . and AFFORDABLE. I’ve made it simple and practical because a diet that’s hard to follow is abandoned. This is a feeding plan you will use every day for as long as you have pets.
How good is Dr. Greg’s Dog Dish Diet? I’ll let a few of my many clients tell you in their own words what it has done for their dogs. You can scroll to the bottom of this page to read what they have to say. But I’ll tell you now that the secrets in this book are the same ones that helped me win the BEST VET in Gilroy, CA, award and my book win 4 publishing awards.

My story began 12 1/2 years ago . . .

At the time, my wife Lonna and I had our usual family of 6 or 7 sick, injured and otherwise unwanted dogs and cats. You see, veterinarians don’t pick their pets. The animals in need find us.
We’ve always enjoyed their company and done our best to make their lives healthy, happy and normal. But some things even I assumed were just part of their less-than-perfect condition . . . like Archie’s and Teddy’s mild seizures and Carly’s . . . well that wasn’t tolerable.
I still remember the morning I awoke at 5 AM–groggy from performing a very late-night cesarean section on a Pug. I was called to deliver a baby calf. Barefoot and sleepy, I stumbled to the kitchen for coffee . . . when I stepped in something squishy.
You know the feeling.
I had no doubt as to the culprit. Carly (my 3-legged Dalmatian) had thrown up her food . . . AGAIN. But with this recent and most undesirable incident, I vowed to get to the root of her problems.
So began my re-education. In vet school we focused on nutritional deficiencies and digestive disorders rather than how different ingredients in the diet might PREVENT conditions. I was taught to leave everything to the commercial dog food manufacturers and just open a bag or can of good quality dog food.
Now before I go on, let me say that I have nothing against commercial dog food. It’s convenient. It’s affordable. It’s nutritious. The problem is that it’s pretty much sold as if one food (any food) satisfies the needs of all dogs. And that’s not the case.
Later in this letter, I’ll share the results of what I learned and the benefits to not only Carly but Archie and Teddy when I made some simple changes in how I fed my dogs.
A good solution must be
FAST . . . EASY . . . and AFFORDABLE.
It has to be because this is NOT a diet you feed for a month or two. These feeding secrets are FOREVER. In fact, it’s really not a diet at all. It’s about changing how you choose ingredients to feed your dog.
Look, I’m all for organic, natural diets. I believe you should always go with the best quality you can afford. But most important is what’s IN the food . . . the ingredients.
I’ve treated 10s of 1000s of animals since I added nutrition to my traditional veterinary practice. I can tell you that as many as 40 percent of all dogs are allergic to their current diet. Dr. Greg’s Dog Dish Diet helps you identify and remove allergens. This is the same treatment I use in my practice.
But you don’t have to travel to my animal hospital in California. You don’t have to pay office visit prices for this information. Buy my book, Dr. Greg’s Dog Dish Diet, and get to the bottom of many of your dog’s most common and persistent problems.
Are you familiar with the 80/20 rule? It just means that 80 percent of the benefits come with a mere 20 percent of effort. When you make a few small (but basic) adjustments in how you feed your dog, you’ll effect huge changes in how your dog feels.
- NO cooking required.
- NO expensive designer foods to buy.
- NO mess.
- NO fuss.
- NO vet-approved, prescription diets needed.
- NO inconvenient raw diets necessary.
- NO organic, all-natural foods required.
- NO complex feeding schedules.
I saw dramatic results in Carly, Archie and Teddy.
So back to the story of my dogs: Sure enough Carly was allergic to ingredients in her dog food. I removed the most common allergens (and I’ll teach you how to do the same). The result. Within a few weeks, her indigestion began to subside. Within six months, she only vomited for good reason . . . when she ate something dead or disgusting.
But now for the big surprise: I put all my dogs on the same hypoallergenic ingredients just because I didn’t want to be the food police and at the same time didn’t want Carly eating any other food. A couple of months later I noticed that Teddy’s and Archie’s mild seizures appeared to stop. That’s when I first began to suspect that I was on to something important.
Or was I? Because a few months after that, Archie’s seizures returned. Hmmmm.
Then one day I caught him. Archie was sneaking kibble out of the cat’s bowl. The cat was still eating ingredients that I had identified as allergens. And that’s the day all the dogs and all the cats in our household were given allergen-free diets. Within two months Archie’s seizures had again stopped. Yes, I am a believer.
Change starts…
when you stop feeding the problem.
You can expect to start seeing improvements in your dog within a matter of weeks of after you identify and eliminate the allergens. And here’s just a partial list of common ailments that I’ve seen my Dog Dish Diet relieve:

- Red, Painful Ears
- Flaky, Inflamed Skin
- Hotspots
- Stomach Upsets
- Ongoing Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Urinary Infections
- Mild Seizures
- And More!

A solution for the biggest threat
facing your pet.
My Dog Dish Diet delivers one more benefit. It’s so big, so important that it deserves special attention. OBESITY. According to the Association for Pet Obesity Prevention, fully 45 percent of all dogs (and 58% of cats) in the United States are fat or obese. And fat pets are at risk for heart disease, respiratory problems, liver disease, diabetes, joint problems and arthritis. Allowing your pet to become overweight may shorten its life.
The alternative is almost as heart breaking. How do you explain to a furry loved one that they’re restricted to smaller portions, tasteless diet formulas and fewer treats . . . for their own good?
And if you’ve ever had a rescue animal, you know that they tend to gorge because even in the security of your home they always worry about their next meal. Put a rescue dog (or cat) on a strict diet and you’ll both be miserable.
Dr. Greg’s Dog Dish Diet solves that problem once and for all. Your pets will not only lose extra pounds, they’ll maintain a healthy weight . . . even in their old age.

You are helping a shelter pet
while helping your own dog.
I wrote Dr. Greg’s Dog Dish Diet because I want to help all the dogs (and cats) that can’t visit my animal hospital here in California. Through my book, I can get out to a world of pet owners.

But that’s only part of my mission. I want to help the millions of dogs and cats that end up in shelters. The statistics are staggering. The ASPCA estimates that as many as 7 million companion animals enter shelters every year. And that’s just in the United States. Sadly, they also estimate that more than half (3.7 million) are euthanized annually.
That’s a tragedy. And that’s why I’m giving $5 of each book you buy through this website to The nØkill Network–a nonprofit that promotes the no-kill model and helps more shelters find the community, state and federal support necessary to save more healthy, adoptable pets. That money will help house and feed these homeless animals. It will also fund the critical programs that can help solve the problem: education, community involvement, spay and neutering programs, and an end to puppy mills.
Buy today and together we’ll help your dog as well as the less fortunate dogs and cats in local communities. Buy extra copies as gifts, and we’ll help even more.
You can keep paying to treat your dog’s symptoms…or you can get to the root of the problem once and for all.
Here’s the bottom line: You’re the victim of a double whammy. Itchy skin, hotspots, urinary infections, diarrhea, inflamed ears (even mild seizures) are not diseases. They are SYMPTOMS of an underlying problem. To prevent recurrences, you must resolve the problem . . . not patch the symptoms. It’s pretty logical, really.
But I said this was a double whammy because in addition to not solving your dog’s problem, you’re probably spending a lot of money on extra visits to the vet, a barrage of tests and expensive medications.
Antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs, antihistamines, and ointments help relieve your dog’s misery. But if the symptoms return weeks or even months later, then there’s most likely an allergen in the diet. Medical tests can’t find it. But you can . . . once you use the techniques I explain in Dr. Greg’s Dog Dish Diet.
Not getting to the root of the problem makes your dog suffer needlessly. And based on my patient records it’s costing owners anywhere from $30 to $133 a month. Also needlessly. The actual amount is based on the severity of your dog’s allergic reactions, which determines how often you must visit your vet for tests and medications.
A few of my clients want to share their stories about using my Dog Dish Diet secrets.
Of course, these are individual case stories and your results may be different. But the records of the 1000s of dogs I’ve treated show dramatic improvement, welcome relief and fewer trips to the vet . . . and yes that translates into savings.

“Thanks, Dr. Martinez. Once we identified the cause of Baxter’s allergic reaction, we changed ingredients in his diet and his ear problems cleared up.” -Supervisor Donald Gage, County of Santa Clara, San Jose, CA
“My 18-month-old Golden, CJ, has had problems with hotspots from 6 months on….[another] vet said he was hyper-sensitive to fleas…The other vet suggested (after $900 of vet visits) that we have his blood and thyroid tested. This could have cost me another $2500 to $3000….I changed vets…After asking me a series of questions, Dr. Martinez suggested we change his diet….Amazingly, in the last 6 months, CJ has not had one hotspot break out. Now all my ‘kids’ are on the same diet and, as a result, my 5-year-old Golden has lost 10 lbs. and is healthier than ever.” -Mary Cortani, Gilroy, CA
“Thanks for advising us to change the way we feed our chocolate lab, Trousers….He used to vomit a lot, but when we changed to better ingredients in the food and treats, the vomiting stopped. It is wonderful to use nutrition instead of lots of medication to clear up medical problems.” -Anthony and Angeline Ruggiero
“Our 11-year-old Brittany, Sarah, suddenly started throwing
up at all hours of the day and night. Our other dogs were fine. I made repeated visits to the veterinarian. None of the tests our vet did found any problems with Sarah’s digestive track or internal organs. She continued to throw up, losing 6 pounds in three months….It was not until I followed Dr. Martinez’s advice that she stopped throwing up entirely….Sarah has put on several pounds. She is back to being a happy dog.” -Theresa B., Morgan Hill, CA
“Once we made sure allergens were not in the dog food, Sassy’s seizures stopped after a few months, and we were able to take him off the anti-seizure medication. He hasn’t had a seizure for almost 2 years.” -Heather and Andrew Angell
“I work with Search and Rescue Dogs and I have found first hand that the K-9s have more stamina to search longer hours in arduous conditions if they have a high-protein, balanced diet that’s free of allergens…while following Dr Martinez’s diet suggestions.” -Gerri Schmutz, FEMA USAR K-9 Handler, Morgan Hill, CA
“Buddy has always had a sensitive stomach, but when I moved recently his digestive system went haywire. He also became very itchy and allergic, which had never been a problem in
the past. Meds helped, but didn’t come close to solving the problem. They only masked the problem for a couple of days. I was desperate…I am ecstatic to report that Buddy has very minimal itching; his coat is shiny and healthy, and we haven’t seen a loose poop in months. My other dogs are also doing wonderfully on the new program. I am forever indebted to Dr. Martinez and his canine nutritional wisdom. You have a client for life!!!!! -Emily, Buddy, Zoey, Keli and Sally, San Juan Bautista, CA
Dr. Martinez has seen many of my personal pets, competition dogs and clients’ pets for allergy related issues. The symptoms have varied from excessive itching, hair loss and hotspots to gastrointestinal issues. Upon changing the diet, my clients and I noticed significant improvement in the animals’ health immediately.”-Deleta Jones, K-9 Ambassador, Gilroy, CA

P.S. Today’s the day you can give your furry friend the gift of good health and, at the same time, help homeless dogs and cats. I will give $5 of each book you buy through this website to The nØkill Network promoting no-kill shelters across the country. - Greg
